Sue - Owner/Stylist
When redevelopment forced her to close the doors to "Splash," at its former location (See TV Commercial circa 1985) , Sue admits it was "the hardest thing I ever had to do." During the next four years, she kept her clients happy and her skills up-to-date while working for another salon - and the experience only confirmed her belief that today's salon experience was seriously lacking a vital component: exemplary customer service.

So, when the current location became available, Sue and business partner Patti set out to create the salon of their dreams.

They handpicked the staff based on a superior skill level, willingness to work as a team, and commitment to making the client experience the best possible.

Sue enjoys a stellar reputation throughout Orange County as a precision cutter, expert stylist and premier color specialist. Her mastery of color correction has brought referrals from all over California and beyond, and there is no hair emergency Sue can't fix!

Sue is also an active presence in the community, supporting programs for battered women, Second Harvest Food Bank, The Miss Huntington Beach Pageant, Huntington Beach Community Clinic Duck-A-Thon, programs that recycle human hair in making wigs for cancer patients, just to name a few.

40 years of experience have brought Sue many industry awards and recognition, as well as accolades for her community involvement. She brings both to her newest "Splash" venture and insists that the staff share her commitment to customer service, exceptional skill levels and a willingness to give back to the community.

Mostly, Sue wants to make YOU happy, and you won't be disappointed in her capable hands!




   

Patti  - Owner/Stylist
Patti has more than forty years experience as a stylist, yet her passion is such that she continues to attend classes, seminars and hair shows, learning the latest techniques and staying on top of current trends.

As up-to-the-minute as her skills are, Patti has not turned her back on old school techniques enjoyed by many women of a "certain age." Mature clients will feel equally at home in the environs of Splash - no glaring neon or stress-inducing techno music here - as their younger counterparts. And, Patti's unparalleled skill in crafting styles, perms and cuts for mature women makes her a rare find in today's youth-fixated salons.

Always energetic and bubbly, Patti exemplifies the friendly, warm spirit
she and business partner Sue envisioned for "Splash."

Olga  - Esthetician
Our resident skin specialist, Olga can turn your face into the radiant palette it was meant to be! One would be hard-pressed to find an esthetician as experienced and accredited as Olga.

She is certified by Dermalogica, Bella Micro-Dermabrasion Systems, Murad Skin Research Laboratories, UCLA Extension, The American Institute of Permanent Color Technology and Sothy's Beta Ex Skin Ex foliating System.

Nikki - Stylist
A graduate of the Paul Mitchell school, Nikki had turned  her love for hair and beauty into way of life.

She loves fashion, music, tattoos and people that can make her laugh. Clients love her easy manner and amazing shampoos.

Nikki understands that snooty stylists and bad attitudes may suit those in L.A., but it's not going to fly in Orange County - not at Splash.

She makes every effort to ensure her time with clients is positive and upbeat - and plenty of smiles and laughter.











Rosalyn - Stylist
As a little girl, Rosalyn practiced her styling skills on her dolls and then moved onto friends. After enrolling in cosmetology school and studying the various elements, she discovered her talent for achieving remarkable results in coloring, and has honed her skills to the highest degree of expertise.

Finding a salon that demanded her absolute best while emphasizing a real sense of family and supportiveness among staff, is "the perfect job," according to Rosalyn. "Coming to work makes me feel good because I know I have the chance to make a client as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside."

Monet - Stylist
Like the painter of the same name, our Monet is a real artist with thirteen years of experience in the disciplines of hairstyling and makeup artistry under her trendy belt. She knew she wanted to work in the world of beauty from the time she was only four years old, and she set about to earn her education and obtain her license, and trained with some of the most prestigious and talented stylists around, before striking out on her own.

Monet understands that hair and makeup are more than just superficial, and she makes sure her clients enjoy their experience in her chair, and the effects of her artistry, long after they've left the salon.

Steven-Stylist
After years in the Professional ranks of skateboarding, an injury forced Steven to find that he had more then one passion in life.

Carefully choosing Paul Mitchell The School in Costa Mesa he skyrocketed after only 2 months to become the student body president. Upon graduating, he tried his hand in the entertainment side of hair. Networking led him to do session work for Converse, Blink182(feeling this video) and MTV on shows such as(I want a famous face, date my mom, and next).He quickly found out that, while fun and fantastic, ego's just weren't for him.

Next, he turned his passion for hair and learning into teaching. A former AVEDA educator, Steven has been fortunate enough to have trained with Vidal Sassoon advanced academy, Aveda, Toni&Guy, Paul Mitchell Design team and Advanced Academy as well as Bumble and bumble. After years of intense advanced classes led Steven to become Director of Education for one of Aveda's top ranked salons in the nation.

A session with Steven is not one to be forgotten. Blessed with the gift of gab, Steven's connectability with clients is unparalleld. With a passion for his job and life its not hard to see how in no time you'll feel like you're just catching up with an old friend.











Shannon-Stylist/Designer
A Chicago native and mid western girl at heart, Shannon moved to California for her love of weather, sandy beaches, and doing hair.

She finds inspiration in her family, music, snowboarding, fashion, photography, art and her travels.  Her passion lies in creating things that are aesthetically pleasing and inspiring change in her clients.

Shannon has been in the industry for over 8 years and is redken certified and bumble and bumble educated. Specializing in color, she can create any look for a multitude of different lifestyles. In her spare time, she enjoys collaborating with other artists doing freelance hair for print photography and fashion shows.











Dea - Manicurist
Dea has been doing nails for more than 25 years in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.

She was a member of the original Splash team for almost sixteen years.

Born and raised in SoCal, she is an avid golfer and enjoys playing with her thirteen year old daughter. She also enjoys bowling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and jazz.











Mary - Manicurist
A  life time OC resident with over 30 years experience she specializes
in gel manicures and hour long pedicures.

Never one to follow the crowd, Mary doesn't believe in the unsanitary
spa chairs of the chain shops.

before.











Karen - Salon Manager
Karen comes to Splash with years of salon experience.

With a passion for the industry as well as extensive bumble and bumble training, she can assist with you anything you may need.

With a collection of colorful tattoos and and ever changing hairstyles, you won't be able to miss her at the front desk.

A full time student studying sociology, she hopes to help the salon give back to the community and have a positive impact on society.











Sophia-Stylist
 A recent graduate from Paul Mitchell the School.

She moved from northern California to achieve her life-long dream of doing hair. Now a resident of Orange County, loves going to the beach with her friends.

She has a passion for people and creating magic with clients.  Believes that when people come first, success will follow.











Jocelyn-Stylist
Born and raised in Minnesota, Jocelyn came to California in the pursuit of sun and fun. After feeling unsatisfied while dabbling in different careers, she was asked to be a salon receptionist.

When working in the field, other stylists encouraged her to do hair because of her good-natured personality. She found her “calling” then and has been in love with it ever since.
 











Amelia Shields - Stylist
Determined to master the french braid at the age of 4, Amelia always 
knew hair was her calling. She graduated from the Goldenwest College 
cosmetology program in 2001, and has had numerous years of experience 
in the salon industry. After 2 years as an assistant for her talented 
mentor and 6 years at her own chair in Tustin, she has come to join 
the Splash Salon family. Color, cut, styles, even perms, she can do it 
all and promises to have her clients leave her chair happy and never 
to compromise the integrity of their hair. Amelia specializes in the 
achievement, retention, and maintenance of long hair for every day 
wear, but also loves the chance to do a fun and funky short cut as 
well. She looks forward to meeting you soon











Tammy - Stylist
Tammy has over 20 years in the salon industry. She apprenticed under a 
master stylist in Newport Beach and then underwent intensive training 
at an Aveda salon in Fountain Valley. She is the president of the 
Women's Business Connection of Fountain Valley and takes parts in many  charity events within the community.
She is a native to Huntington  Beach and understands the needs of local clients requiring expert hair  services.
She is also known as a color specialist and for her unique  ability to connect with clients. It is important to her that each  person who sits in her chair feels confident that they are looking  their best when they leave the salon.











Lisa - Stylist
Lisa has always known she wanted to do hair and now has over 10 years 
of experience in the industry. She specializes in highlighting and 
keeping blondes looking their brightest.  A lover of the sun, you can 
find her outdoors at the beach, the river, and camping. A mother of 
two, Lisa understands the needs of busy moms who are looking for a 
stylish and low maintenance look.
