Sue - Owner/Stylist When redevelopment forced her to close the doors to "Splash," at its former location (See TV Commercial circa 1985) , Sue admits it was "the hardest thing I ever had to do." During the next four years, she kept her clients happy and her skills up-to-date while working for another salon - and the experience only confirmed her belief that today's salon experience was seriously lacking a vital component: exemplary customer service. So, when the current location became
available, Sue and business partner Patti set out to
create the salon of their dreams. They handpicked the staff based on a
superior skill level, willingness to work as a team, and
commitment to making the client experience the best
possible. |

Sue enjoys a stellar reputation throughout Orange County as a precision cutter, expert stylist and premier color specialist. Her mastery of color correction has brought referrals from all over California and beyond, and there is no hair emergency Sue can't fix! Sue is also an active presence in the community, supporting programs for battered women, Second Harvest Food Bank, The Miss Huntington Beach Pageant, Huntington Beach Community Clinic Duck-A-Thon, programs that recycle human hair in making wigs for cancer patients, just to name a few. 40 years of experience have brought Sue many industry awards and recognition, as well as accolades for her community involvement. She brings both to her newest "Splash" venture and insists that the staff share her commitment to customer service, exceptional skill levels and a willingness to give back to the community. Mostly, Sue wants to make YOU happy, and you won't be disappointed in her capable hands! |

Patti - Owner/Stylist Patti has more than forty years experience as a stylist, yet her passion is such that she continues to attend classes, seminars and hair shows, learning the latest techniques and staying on top of current trends. As up-to-the-minute as her skills are, Patti has not turned her back on old school techniques enjoyed by many women of a "certain age." Mature clients will feel equally at home in the environs of Splash - no glaring neon or stress-inducing techno music here - as their younger counterparts. And, Patti's unparalleled skill in crafting styles, perms and cuts for mature women makes her a rare find in today's youth-fixated salons. Always energetic and bubbly, Patti

Rosalyn - Stylist As a little girl, Rosalyn practiced her styling skills on her dolls and then moved onto friends. After enrolling in cosmetology school and studying the various elements, she discovered her talent for achieving remarkable results in coloring, and has honed her skills to the highest degree of expertise. Finding a salon that demanded her absolute best while emphasizing a real sense of family and supportiveness among staff, is "the perfect job," according to Rosalyn. "Coming to work makes me feel good because I know I have the chance to make a client as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside." Molly moved to H.B. from sunny Palm Springs. A member of the industry for many years, she specializes in flawless make up application and custom hair styling. Brianna - Stylist Brianna is new to this industry, but feels like she has been doing this her whole life. Since she was little she always knew this was the industry she would be in. She has a huge passion for hair, makeup and fashion. She loves her job because she gets to make every person that sits in her chair feel great about themselves. She gets to meet so many new people every day and everyone has a different story, wants a different look and she strives to help them accomplish it. She loves absorbing every piece of information given to her as a gift to drive herself to be the best she can be and apply it to her work. She enjoys working with clients to come up with styles individualized to their needs. She enjoys doing styles and makeup for weddings and other special occasions. She is beyond thrilled to be able to call Splash her home away from home. To be a part of such a fun, caring, creative and knowledgeable team has been such an amazing experience thus far. |

Dea - Manicurist Dea has been doing nails for more than 25 years in Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. She was a member of the original Splash team for almost sixteen years. Born and raised in SoCal, she is an avid golfer and enjoys playing with her thirteen year old daughter. She also enjoys bowling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and jazz. |

- Salon Manager Nicole started working in the salon industry at the age of sixteen! She is an easy going "eager to please" people person. She loves the staff and clients like family. Her self expression show's up in her love of clothes and shoes. Traveling is her passion as well as taking care of Splash. |

Mary
- Stylist After Mary graduated from CSUF with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Health Science, she immediately enrolled in beauty school and has loved the industry ever since. She's had her own hair colored many shades of blonde, brown, and red, and knows exactly how to achieve the same look on her clients. She does spectacular bridal updos and is meticulous about never using clippers when it comes to men's haircuts. Outside of work, she loves to collaborate with photographers, snowboard, listen to music (especially house), watch sports, and spend time at the beach . Mary's clients mean the world to her and she consistently strives to provide what is best for them. Once you get to know her, you will see how passionate she is about hair and her scalp massages with have you hooked! |

In Memoriam of Amelia
Shields
Amelia Shields, 28, was killed after she was struck by a
car while crossing the street, the night of February 20,
2011. The accident occurred at the intersection of
Chapman Avenue and Citrus Street in Orange. Shields
and her boyfriend were walking their dog across the street
in a marked crosswalk when a Toyota Matrix hit them.
Shields was killed in the accident while her boyfriend
sustained minor injuries. Amelia worked at Splash
for over three years and she was a very talented
hairstylist. METICULOUS to a fault but always
turning out beautiful work. We all loved her very much
and she will be missed as a team mate and a
collaborator.. She may not be here in body...
but her strength and spirit will live on with us
forever.
